film is the main obstacle that
the protagonist must overcome
to succeed in his quest for rain. Everything is not set in stone, will continue to modify character designs...

I think the puppets will be really cool. I don't know anything about AE puppets - but do you think it would be a good idea to distinguish the look of the god and warrior from the one of the boy and father even more? like a texture or something maybe to show they are sort of mythical?
